Mobile Application

Today would be the typing day for Sherman since today I am in a typing mood.
Alrighty lets come back to the main subject.
So today I would be focusing on Mobile application in bringing communication and how it brings benefits to a company?


I chose GSC - also known as Golden Screen Cinema

Target audience
Basically this application is designed for movie lovers who would like to know what movies are screening daily. Cinema not only provide one type a genre to audience, not only adult but children as well. So the target audience is pretty much those who seek for entertainment, movie lovers, and.. yes basically everyone who has a smartphone device because there's not really a specific audience to target. Since smartphone devices are so universal now in malaysia, I don't think that youngster, couples is no longer the only target audience.
 

Objective
This application designed to enhance the effectiveness of ticket booking process. In the smartphones Era, mobile application is very demanding for a company to produce efficiency and effectiveness for both customers and the organization. In another way, GSC application not only speed up the process of booking ticket, it also helps to make profit.
In another way, it could be said that this application too helps to save some paper and printing budget on printing the tickets, since the application has a "Bar Code Scanner" function.



Function
1. Booking ticket - Allows customers to place order on application first, then only conduct the payment at the Cinema counter
2. Purchasing ticket - It encourages customers to use credit card as their payment in order to get "special seats" and promotional stuff (for example like GOLD CLASS, or buy 2 free 1 ticket, buy couples seats free pop corn)
3. Time - It saves a lot of time for customers to inquire movie screening time at the counter or QUE, this app shows the information of the movie (how long is this movie, what movie is available is respective GSC) and screening time. 


Linkage
Linkage is when a person uses this application, it constantly remind him/her that things that they do is anyhow related to the company. Due to the fact that GSC is the leading cinema company in Malaysia, it is believed that the GSC performance is better than other Cinema in terms of technology, environment and numbers of outlet.
The movies are the linkage that indirectly highlighted GSC. If I wasn't, some Cinema company doesn't offer any 3D technology, or SOME movies are not available in other cinema. However, what I am trying to say is, GSC has the unique way to sell movies which reminds people that "OH, GSC has it ONLY", "Oh this movie is only available in GSC".

Measurement of results   
What happens in the internet stays in the internet?
Yes of cause the evaluation is partly calculated by the rates of download and the review on the AppStore or PlayStore.
The second part to measure such result is through the view of a particular movies on how many people using this app to make booking
And the sales of the cinema, as application accelerated all the purchasing, booking, inquiry process.
